C11 MSL MK1 HRDC Mercedes Benz

Mercedez benze modelCW have taken yet another big leap. They are taking a great pride by establishing an association with the famous and one of the most popular car manufacturers, Mercedes Benz. This piece has especially been produced to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mercedez Bens Club.

In order to represent the spirit of the club, the watch bears its crest both within the dial and has also been engraved on the backplate. Each watch comes with a unique serial number. The watch has automatic movement and one of the most brilliant designs produced by the Swiss watch industry.  The casing is in silver colour of polished stainless steel with a black dial inside. The minute and hour hands are black at the bottom and white at the top end. The second hand is set in red to give it a contrast. Over all, this is one of the most fantastic timepiece.

The automatic watch incorporates the Mercedes Benz Club crest both within the dial and also within the engraving of the backplate and each watch has a unique serial number.

The C11 case is a completely new design for Christopher Ward that places a circular dial in a case which has its facets smoothed off and decorated with vertical brushing. Four screws suggest the dials original location within a cockpit’s instrument panel. The result is one of the most attractive conversions to a wristwatch. The striking contemporary approach is based on a 42mm case in 316L surgical grade stainless steel. It has museum grade sapphire crystal and high density SuperLuminova markings and hands.

cw hrdcThis model is inspired by the Historic Racing Drivers Club. As usual Chris Ward has tried to base its watch on the inspiration and the love of the fans for sport and race.

The designers have tried that the watch not only truly represents the HRDC’s spirit but also emobodies the enthusiaism of the fans by incorporating the crest of the club in the watch.

The design is a complete innovation with perfectly black case and crowns while the inside dial has been marked with white hands, numerals and red chronograph markers. The four markers, the white hands, the white numerals and black background of the dial represents the cockpit’s instrument panel. The stiched strap with red decorative button types studs give the watch an extra look of that race sporty glamour.

The crystal glass itself is saphhire which is museum grade of high density. To ensure the maximum quality, CW have used surgical grade stainless steel with a PVD finish. The HRDC series by Chris Ward is, indeed, a perfect achievement in the watch industry. The company has not only maintained its tradition of excellence but has taken a step further by producing this distinct timpiece.
